Overview

Utah is where nature shows off. The Mighty Five national parks — Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, and Capitol Reef — are some of the most jaw-dropping places I've ever visited. Watching sunrise over the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon and hiking Angels Landing in Zion were moments I'll never forget. The red rock landscape feels like another planet.

Travel Tips

   Angels Landing in Zion requires a permit — book months in advance

   Visit Arches at sunrise to avoid crowds and get the best light

   The Mighty Five road trip takes about 7-10 days to do properly

   Bring at least a gallon of water per person per day for desert hiking

5. 5

   Capitol Reef is the least visited park — and it's incredible
