Living on the East Coast means incredible beach access from Maine to Florida. After visiting most of the coastal states, here are my absolute favorite beach destinations.
Top East Coast Beaches
1. Clearwater Beach, Florida Crystal-clear water, white sand, and some of the best sunsets I've ever seen. Clearwater is paradise.
2. Outer Banks, North Carolina Wild, untamed beaches with wild horses, lighthouses, and incredible seafood. The OBX is a vibe.
3. Cape Cod, Massachusetts Classic New England beach vibes. Dune beaches, fried clam shacks, and gorgeous sunsets over the bay.
4. Hilton Head Island, South Carolina Upscale but relaxed. Beautiful beaches, great golf, and incredible Lowcountry food.
5. Acadia National Park, Maine Not your typical beach — but the rocky coastline and Sand Beach surrounded by mountains is breathtaking.
6. Virginia Beach, Virginia Great boardwalk, good surf, and a fun downtown scene.
7. Key West, Florida The southernmost point in the US has some of the most unique beaches — and the best sunset celebration at Mallory Square.
